The Public and Press are admitted to all meetings of the Parish Council and its committees and sub-committees.
Meeting datesAn annual meeting must be held every year, within 18 days of election in an election year and on any day in May in any other year. In addition to the annual meeting a Parish Council must hold at least three other meetings each year. Extraordinary meetings may additionally be called at any time by the Chairman and any two members can request the Chairman (in writing) to call one. Longhorsley Parish Council normally meets monthly. Conduct of MeetingsLonghorsley Parish Council aims to make its meetings:
The Chairman if present shall preside. If not, the vice-chairman. If both are absent those present shall elect a member to preside. A quorum is three members or a third of the council's membership, whichever is the greater. Some Parish Councils include political party groupings but Longhorsley does not.
